Alex qualified from Liverpool University in 1998, and initially worked in mixed practice in Oxfordshire. He has worked in small animal practice since 2004, after he returned from travelling around Africa. Alex and his family have always holidayed in Cornwall, and in 2013 fulfilled a lifelong dream to move to the county. Alex has worked as an assistant since moving to Cornwall, following his main interest of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. In April 2017 he was given the position of Clinical Director of Lamorna House and lookd forward to all the challenges that will bring.
Hazel Cooper BVetMed BSc MRCVS
Hazel qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1989 and after a few years in mixed practice she moved into small animal work, arriving in Cornwall in 1999. She enjoys all aspects of small animal work especially our internal medicine cases. At home Hazel has an Abyssinian cross cat Monty, three Spaniels; Bailey, Bella and Luna and three horses. Any spare time is spent enjoying the local countryside on a long dog walk or riding.
Katherine Davis BVSc MRCVS
Katherine graduated from Bristol University in 2005. After working in mixed practice in Wales, Oxfordshire and Australia, she returned to her native Cornwall and started to focus on small animal patients only. She has nearly completed her certificate in internal medicine and hopes to become a RCVS recognised advanced practitioner. Outside of work most of Katherine’s free time is occupied with her horse, Mr Corbett, elderly rescue dog named Henry and cat, Bobble.
Catherine Reynell BVM&S MRCVS
Catherine is originally from Hampshire. She moved down to Cornwall after graduating from Edinburgh Veterinary School in 2017 having previously studied Zoology. Catherine has recently adopted a lovely ex-racing Greyhound called Willow and she has been enjoying the Cornish beaches with her.
