To book a referral
We can only accept referrals from veterinary surgeons. If you think your pet may need a referral, please speak to your veterinary surgeon who will be able to advise.
If you are a vet and would like to refer a case, please complete a Medicine Referral Form. These are available from email@example.com. Once completed, please email back to us.
For emergency referrals, please call us direct on 01209 713100.
Information for Pet Owners
Like human doctors, no vet can be an expert in every field. As with your GP there are times when more specialist help is required. At this stage, they may suggest a referral – similar to a human hospital consultant appointment, where you will see someone who has studied to a higher level in a certain area. They have greater expertise and more specialised equipment and facilities to deal with the problem.
If your pet needs an internal medicine referral, you must discuss this first with your local veterinary surgeon who will contact us on your behalf for the referral and then we will contact you directly for the appointment time. If your pet needs to be seen urgently, your vet will need to telephone us in order to arrange the appointment for you.
Information for referring vets
For all internal medicine referrals please complete a Medicine Referral Form. These are available from firstname.lastname@example.org. Once completed, please email back to us on the same address.
Once we have your referral we will make all the necessary arrangements for the referral visit. However for urgent referrals or a clinical discussion with Katherine please call 01209 713100.
